The YourOffice-Ballantyne office space is located in the Ballantyne One Building of the Ballantyne Corporate Park. If you are from Charlotte, you have certainly heard of the Ballantyne area but lots of folks looking at office space that aren’t in Charlotte will be unfamiliar with the area.
I thought I would take this opportunity to briefly explain the Ballantyne area and give you 3 reasons why I love working here.
Ballantyne is a 2,000 acre master-planned area located in the southern tip of Charlotte, adjacent to the South Carolina border. It was conceived in the 1980’s and after a decade of planning, ground was broken on the first houses and offices in 1996. Now, Ballantyne is recognized as one of the most successfully executed master planned communities in the United States and has grown to become almost a town unto itself. Ballantyne is place where tens of thousands of people live, work, play and stay.
The first reason I love working in Ballantyne is that the area is beautiful and known in Charlotte for the many fountains that preside over the parks, office buildings and shopping areas all over Ballantyne. When the community was planned the developers went out of their way to include parks, walkways and open spaces. While the corporate park takes up over 500 acres of the 2,000 community everything is built and landscaped in a way that is inviting and welcoming. You don’t feel like you are in a corporate park or an area just for business. It was planned this way and it is wonderfully executed.
Many places boast that there is something for anyone within its borders, but Ballantyne truly delivers. From world class restaurants to championship golf to shopping, schools and parks, Ballantyne has it all. This is the second reason I love the area. It is a real community. The corporate park fits in among all the local landmarks.
The art house Ballantyne Movie Theater is an eye catcher with its brightly lit tower. The four corners, or “The Quad” as most of us call it is the center of entertainment and dining in Ballantyne.
There is also the Ballantyne Hotel, located across the street from YourOffice-Ballantyne with its prestigious golf course and the Dana Rader Golf School. The Ballantyne Hotel is where most golfers stay during the Wells Fargo Championship and it is where President Obama stayed during the DNC. It is a remarkable hotel.
Not only is Ballantyne an amazing place to come to everyday, it is also conveniently located in relation to other area of Charlotte. Our building is right off Highway 485 which loops around the city. Ballantyne is just 15 minutes from Charlotte Douglas International Airport and the city center.
Lots of business gets done in the Uptown, Steele Creek, and South Park areas of Charlotte. Ballantyne is located near all three and also has quick access to Pineville, Matthews or even upstate South Carolina.
The location is perfect and if you re-locating to Charlotte you can live, work, play and stay in Ballantyne.
