July 4th Spectacular 4 Miler!
Presented and held at the Toast Café Dilworth, the 4th of July festival and 4 mile race is sure to be a day of fun to celebrate our country’s history. Runners will race through the Dilworth neighborhood down a beautiful tree-lined course that will end right at the Toast Café. Registration starts at 6:30am with the actual race taking place at 7:30am. At 8:15am there will be a 1k “fun run” for the kids to participate in and an awards ceremony to be held at 8:30 am.
There will be food, drinks, and entertainment and all veterans receive a 50% discount. The beneficiary for this year’s race will be The Ronald Mcdonald House of Charlotte which is a 28 bedroom place for families of seriously ill or injured children to stay while the children are cared for in our local children’s hospital. So why not start your 4th of July off right this year and join us for the 4th of July spectacular 4 miler!
4th of July Charlotte Knights SkyShow!
The 2014 Skyshow will be held at the new BB&T Ballpark at 324 South Mint Street and starts at 3 pm with the Skyshow Street Party. The party will include a ferris wheel, face painting, balloon animals, games, and prizes! At 5pm the gates will open to the BB&T Ballpark for all ticketholders and the Charlotte Knights game will begin at 7:05pm. The actual Skyshow will begin after the game and will be held rain or shine.
