Guinness World Record Official Attempt & Block Party
When: Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11 a.m.
Where: STAX, 3722 S. Tryon Street Charlotte, NC
Come out to South End for this free event and be part of the excitement as the STAX Bootcamp family attempts to break the Guinness World Record for the Largest Bootcamp/Circuit Training in History. Led by Randy Moss, Emily Breeze, and other notable celebrities, this event encourages all fitness levels to join in on the fun. There will be 10 body weight movements (which you can find here) performed in 3 minutes for each movement with a 1-minute rest in between. Bring your family and friends for a day of fitness and fun!
FSO Presents: Phenomenal Women
When: Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 10 a.m.
Where: Charlotte Convention Center
Presented by V101.9, this event is a celebration of multi-cultural women and will showcase products and services in beauty, fitness, health and wellness, financial planning, and much more. Phenomenal Women 2016 will feature live performances and appearances from Travis Greene, Eric Benet, Ro James, Diggy Simmons, Traci Braxton, and many others. Colours: A Seersuckers & Sundress Day Party

Where: Suite – 210 East Trade Street, Charlotte, NC
Grab your bowties and chic dresses for this stylish party at The Epicenter. This event will feature an indoor/outdoor bar, a celebrity DJ, VIP tables, live paintings, gift giveaways, cocktails, and so much more. The party takes place on a rooftop patio that overlooks Charlotte, letting you take in the stunning beauty that the Queen City has to offer. Sundried Vibes
When: Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 7 p.m.
Where: The Visulite Theatre
Charlotte Loves Live Music presents Sundried Vibes, a rock/reggae group that performs catchy songs with positive messages. Their high-energy live performances are attracting people from all over and SDV has performed around 275 dates a year since its inception in 2010.
Sundried Vibes has some impressive accolades, such as being awarded South Carolina’s Rock Band of the Year in both 2012 and 2013. They were also voted Charlotte’s Best Local Band in 2012 by the Readers of Creative Loafing. The performance also features The Bleeps, a new band that was formed in Charlotte. Queen City’s Naturals N the Park
When: Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 2 p.m.
Where: Independence Park, 300 Hawthorne Lane
This fundraising event is hosted by The Alesia Thomas Foundation Inc. and promotes expressing self-love, self-acceptance, self-growth, and what makes us unique as individuals. All demographics are encouraged to come out for this free event. The Alesia Thomas Foundation aims to promote healthy lifestyles and help people embrace their individuality through strength, endurance, and confidence.
