Carolina Panthers fans have enjoyed attending training camps at Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C. since the very beginning in 1995. This year is no exception. Presented by Lowe’s, it started July 31st and will run through August 20th. All practices are about two hours long and are free and open to the public.
Wofford has a top notch training facility even amongst other NFL training facilities. The team will be hosted in the 60,000-square-foot Richardson Physical Activities Building. Peter King of Sports Illustrated has ranked the Carolina Panthers training camp as one of the top five friendliest for fans. Here are some important upcoming dates for the Carolina Panthers:
July 31 – First practice at Wofford College
August 7 – Fan Fest at Bank of America Stadium
Performances by the TopCats, Sir Purr, PurrCussion, and Black and Crew will start at 6:30pm, followed by practice at 7:30. Rounding out the evening will be an impressive fireworks and laser show. The best part? Admission is free! And all fans will receive a 2015 team roster photo card that includes the 2015 schedule.
August 14 – Preseason begins
August 20 – Training camp ends
September 1 – Roster cutdown to 75 players
September 5 – Roster cutdown to 53 players
September 13 – Regular season begins
