As summer comes to an end and it finally begins to feel like fall, people are ready for all the comforts of this season, from pumpkin spice and crunchy leaves to cool breezes and apple cider. What more could you ask for when spending time in Charlotte this fall?

Fall Festival at the U.S. National Whitewater Center
Check out the Fall Festival hosted by the U.S. National Whitewater Center on Saturday, October 5 with activities starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 4:30 p.m.
Featuring cider sampling for adults, a Build Your Own Boat (BYOB) Competition, live music, trail races, and yoga sessions, you won’t want to miss this memorable fall festival.
Admission is free but you may have to pay for some events, including the cider sampling and BYOB Competition.
2019 Queen City Fall Festival
Taking place on Saturday, November 16 at The Carole Hoefener Center in Charlotte from 1-5 p.m., the 2019 Queen City Fall Festival is an indoor/outdoor event designed for families and children of all ages, and it’s free!
The event will have entertainment, face painting, food, giveaways, a bake sale, competitions and games, along with local vendors. Bring the entire family and come check it out!
See the Carolina Panthers in Action
Catch a Carolina Panthers game this season. You can see the Panthers play at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte on the following dates:
- October 6: Against the Jacksonville Jaguars
- November 3: Against the Tennessee Titans
- November 17: Against the Atlanta Falcons

Don’t Forget to Check Out SCarowinds
Ride haunted rollercoasters and check out the more than 500 monsters on site at Scarowinds this year! Don’t worry, Carowinds also offers what they call a “No Boo” necklace (for a fee) to keep the monsters away, and their Great Pumpkin Fest is for kids of all ages!
SCarowinds will be going on Friday and Saturday nights in September and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights in October through October 27.
Carolina Renaissance Festival
Running weekends from October 5 to November 24 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with free parking, the Carolina Renaissance Festival takes place at 16445 Poplar Tent Road in Huntersville and happens rain or shine!
Watch history come alive with the hundreds of people in costume. Featuring entertainment, games, feasts, and so much more just a short drive north of Charlotte. Tickets are $25 for adults and $14 for kids aged 5-12.
