 WBT Holiday on Ice
If ice-skating is on your list of favorite holiday activities then be sure to check out the WBT Holiday on Ice. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert this 7,000 square foot rink has something for you. With the option to either bring your own skates or rent a pair, skaters of all levels are welcome. It’s located on the NASCAR Hall of Fame Plaza and also gives you the option of purchasing combo tickets to go skating and later check out the NASCAR Hall of Fame. It’s an all around good time for the whole family.
 Speedway Christmas at Charlotte Motor Speedway
If you and you’re family enjoy seeing spectacular light displays then the Speedway Christmas at Charlotte Motor Speedway is definitely an event not to be missed. With 3 million lights that make up more than 800 LED light displays, Speedway Christmas is one of the most extensive holiday light displays in the United States. Once you’re finished taking in all the lights you can stroll through the Bethlehem-style Christmas Village, go ice-skating, take pictures with Santa, participate in one of the movie nights, or enjoy some great food and music.
Christmas Town USA- McAdenville Lights
For something a little more low-key, but still festive, there is Christmas Town USA (usually known as McAndenville). The entire town including every home, tree, and building is lit up and decorated for the season and visitors are encouraged to meander down main street and take in the all the sights the season has to offer.
Christmas at the Billy Graham Library
If you’re looking for an exceptionally family-friendly event then don’t miss Christmas at the Billy Graham Library. With a live nativity, carolers, horse drawn carriages (available for rides!), children’s story time at the Dairy Barn, and incredible displays of holiday lights, there is something for everyone.
Gingerbread Lane at the Ballantyne Resort
If you love everything Gingerbread then be sure to check out Gingerbread Lane at the Ballantyne Resort. With a whimsical compilation of Gingerbread homes and other creations as well as hot chocolate, hot toddies, Christmas day brunch and dinner there is something for everyone to enjoy. Open from 9am-5pm December 12th through December 29th there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy this event throughout the whole season.
