What is “Give Kids the World Village”?
Give Kids the World Village is a nonprofit, “storybook” resort that is made up of 70-acres and is located in Central Florida. It was created for children who have life-threatening illnesses so that they and their families can enjoy a weeklong, completely free fantasy vacation. Central Florida is home to some of the greatest, kid-friendly attractions in the world and is the perfect place to make terminally-ill children’s dreams come true.
Inspired by a little girl, named Amy, who had leukemia, Give Kids the World was started to ensure that no terminally ill children would miss out on their dream of visiting the Orlando theme parks. Thanks to the help of numerous generous individuals and corporations as well as those within the hospitality industry, Give Kids the World has helped more than 130,000 families from over 75 countries fulfill their dreams.
When is the Luncheon?
Hosted by the Staybridge Suites Ballantyne, the cookout begins at 12:00pm and ends at 1:30pm. It will feature a great variety of grilled options such as hamburgers, hot dogs, and brats as well as salads, sides and desserts for only $8.00. There will also be chances to win trips and prizes as well as games such as Corn Hole, Ladder Ball, Putting and Get-Aways. RSVP by calling 704-248-5000.
