The Small Business Administration (SBA), a government entity that delivers loans, contracts, counseling, and other assistance to small businesses, designates May 5-11 as the SBA National Small Business Week.
However, The City of Charlotte has decided that one week isn’t enough to celebrate the small businesses that make up such a large sector of our economy—so they’ve declared the entire month of May to be Small Business Month 2019, officially proclaimed by Mayor Vi Lyles!
Small Business Month aims to honor the integral role entrepreneurs maintain in our economy. Charlotte Business Resources is taking the month one step further and celebrating one business owner each day on their social media.
Charlotte Business Resources is also giving away free advertising on one of the digital billboards at the Epicentre in Uptown Charlotte for three weeks in May (enter to win here by April 24th!)
Charlotte has ranked one of the best cities in America for entrepreneurs thanks to its support of small startups and its strong economy, so let’s celebrate Charlotte and all it has to offer small businesses.
You can celebrate Small Business Month in Charlotte by shopping at local stores and supporting an entrepreneur near you! And don’t forget, at YourOffice Ballantyne, we feature flexible office setups that any small business can use and enjoy.
