It’s that time of the season when we gather around friends and family and reflect on what we’re thankful for. One thing that many people are giving thanks for in North Carolina is undoubtedly the Carolina Panthers. Fans throughout the Carolinas hold this beloved sports team in high esteem, and it’s no secret as to why. Here are just a few of the many reasons why we are grateful for the Panthers Cardiac Cats:
They Take Charity Work Seriously
Giving back to the community is important, and the Carolina Panthers are superb at getting involved in charity work in Charlotte and across the nation. Recently, Free Safety Roman Harper enlisted the help of his teammates to serve dinner and drinks at Fahrenheit in Uptown as part of his “Hope 4*1 Foundation” that supports the nation’s youth. The team as a whole participates in charity events, but many coaches and players such as Harper have their own charities that make the world a better place.
They Have a Huge Economic Impact
The city of Charlotte, North Carolina loves the Cardiac Cats so much that it provided $6 million in land for the Stadium, a parking deck, and environmental clean-up of a contaminated practice field site. However, the Panthers have definitely repaid this favor by generating approximately $636 million of economic impact and almost 5,000 jobs for the Charlotte region annually, making it a hot place to move to this year. If you are looking to start a business in Charlotte, there are plenty of places where you can rent fully furnished office suites, such as YourOffice Ballantyne. Charlotte is a beautiful place to live and Panther fans will welcome you with open arms.
The Panthers Love Their Fans
It is heartwarming to know that the Carolina Panthers love their fans just as much as the fans love them, and we are grateful for this mutual love. Quarterback Cam Newton makes it a point to find kids in the stands to give the ball to after a touchdown, and the excitement in their eyes will make anyone’s heart melt. They even allowed an 8-year-old to coach the Panthers as part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
They Care About Our Troops
North Carolina cares about those who have served and continue to serve the country, and the Panthers demonstrated this well on Memorial Day when they invited the families of fallen soldiers onto the field before the start of their football game. During the game, each player wore the initials of one of the fallen soldiers.
They Are Currently 9-0
If you ask Siri, the iPhone’s assistant, who the best team in the NFL is right now, she will say, “So far, the Panthers are first place in the NFL.” However, true Panther fans didn’t need Siri to find that out. Anyone who has been following the NFL games knows that the Cardiac Cats are 9-0 right now—their best season so far in franchise history.
Thankful for Our Cardiac Cats This Holiday Season
There are a decent number of Carolina Panther fanatics in Charlotte and the surrounding areas because there is simply a lot to love about them. From charity work to helping Charlotte’s economy, we are grateful for our Cardiac Cats and are proud to call Charlotte their home.
