North Carolina Beer Month

The month of April is North Carolina Beer Month, which means that beer lovers from all over will flock to the best craft beer havens in Charlotte. Check out the official website to find award-winning breweries and special events to attend. Here are just a few that shouldn’t be missed:

Ales for Autism: This special event on April 16th will have live music, food trucks, and of course delicious beer—all for a good cause. NoDa Brewing Company puts on this event to raise funds and awareness for Autism Charlotte.

A Craft Beer Dinner: On April 21st, you and your friends can enjoy a special three-course meal and three hand-selected craft beers. In addition, you will get a bonus beer and bacon flight that will get you and your crew off to the right start.

Louisiana Spring Fest: On April 23-24, the annual Louisiana Spring Fest will be hosted by the Olde Mecklenburg Brewery. This event will have good food and live music all day, so make sure to bring your appetite.

Hornets vs. Orlando

Calling all sports fans—the Charlotte Hornets and the Orlando Magic will face off on April 13th at 8 p.m. at the Time Warner Cable Arena. After clinching a spot in the playoffs, the Hornets are now playing for positioning in the Eastern Conference. Currently, they have four games left to play and desperately need Nicolas Batum to recover from a knee injury that he suffered against the Cavaliers. April is a busy month for Charlotte’s music scene and no matter what genre you’re into, there is a concert calling your name in the Queen City. Check out some of the best performers hitting the stage this month:

Elle King: On April 11th, the blues-pop singer will take the state at Amos’ Southend and will no doubt get the entire place singing along to her famous hit “Ex’s and Oh’s”.

Mumford & Sons: On April 14th, Mumford & Sons will perform at the Time Warner Cable Arena.

Ciara: Ciara will be playing at the Fillmore Charlotte on April 19th.

Alabama Shakes: At the Uptown Amphitheatre at NC Music Factory, the Alabama Shakes will be performing on April 22nd.
